First day of my journey to a better self

WOO HOO a new blog :D

Okay well hey everyone who reads this. my name is Faye and im a 21 year old girl from england, living and studying in america. The intention of this blog is that it will be somewhere for me to record my weight loss trials and tribulations and how im doing etc.

Here's some history on me:

- I never used to be very obese and when i was 19 living in London i weighed in at a curvy 145 lbs. In December of 2006 i moved to america and between then and now i have gained an upsetting 80lbs. My eating habits have changed alot and i find in america i eat out alot more and am not as conscious about what i eat and when i eat it.
- I moved over here to live with my boyfriend and im sure alot of you know that when your with someone a long time its easy to let yourself go, well thats what i did. I KNOW i have no-one else to blame but myself for my weight gain and i'm not the kind of person to make excuses for my weight, but in all honesty i just didn't try that hard to stay in shape.
- I used to attend the gym 4 times a week but the fact that i would eat late at night kind of canceled out my efforts.

Here's what i plan to do to get in shape:

- I will not be attending a gym anymore because i simply can't afford it, and i believe i can do just as good at home will what i have.
- My workout's will vary alot and i plan to use my exercise ball, walk my dog, dance like a mad woman to you tube songs, and use my 5lb weights in workouts. It doesn't sound like enough but i plan to push myself very hard.
- I will try to stick to between 1300 and 1700 calories a day. Some people have advised me this is not enough but i think for me its plenty and enough to keep me full. I will try to cut back on eating out, and if i do stick to things like soup and salad with little dressing.

Here are my current statistics:

- I am 21 years old and 5"2 inches tall.
- i weigh in at 226.4 lbs (eeeek)
- I have a 48" waist, 51" hips, 40" chest

In this blog i will try to log what i eat, my workout's, my weekly weigh ins and measurements and my general feelings and such. I plan on posting photo's occasionally to show how i look and body changes if they are noticeable.
